    Default SMTP test mail fails

    I entered my SMTP server settings on the Mail Settings page with the exact same settings that I use for my email client, but when I click the "Send test mail" button I keep getting "SMTPclient: select: Connection timed out". What could be wrong here?

    Do you use your MailServer IP address or Hostname in the SMTP settings ? Try to ping your MailServer using Quadro "System -> Networking Tools" page.

    Weeeeeell...looks like l jumped the gun on my email client settings...it doesn't send SMTP anymore either.

    Last week I switched from cable to using AT&T Yahoo DSL. Come to find out, I can ONLY use their SMTP server, and not only does that use a different port (465 instead of 25), it also requires that SLL is used. PITA.
