When placing a call on hold, when retrieving caller, immediately after selecting line, call is dropped.

How are you holding the call ? what sort of telephones are being used? are the extensions remote or local ? How many line keys are programmed on the telephone ? Can you transfer a caller without a problem ?

    Regards

    Kevin

Snom 320 is used, hold is being activated by the 320. Local extention, only 1 line key programed, transfers are being lost as well.

I suspect this happens due to specifics of your VoIP provider's SIP implementation.

Do transfers fail, when all calls are internal (ext 1 calls to ext 2, holds, then unhold or transfer to ext 3)?

Will check on internal and advise.

On the SNOM 320, it is vital that you at least have 2 x keys programmed as the active LINE keys or else you WILL lose the call on transfer etc.

The SNOM handset needs 2, one for the inward call and the second for the outward call to place the call on hold and transfer or park etc...

So the fact that it drops the call doesnt surprise me. So enable 2 x keys as active line keys and this should resolve the problem.

Guys, here wea bright example on how the users can mis-configure the IP-Phones, when doing manual configuration. Please, use Quadro P-n-P or Autoprovisioning featurefor Epygi Supported and Tested IP-Phones configuration. This will make your life much easier

Configured using autoprovisioning, still same problem, dropped call when line put on hold. Any other ideas?

Can you confirm that there are now 2 x keys on the SNOM 320 set for active line.

Which version of SNOM320 software are you using?

    Regards

    Kevin
