This is a question for Epygi. In your PDF paper on NAT Traversal section 3.5, you refer to SIP aware routers. Could you please list the ADSL Modem/Routers you have found to be SIP aware.

    Thanks,

    Colin Gaunt.

Not a list, but we find no problems a tall with Zyxel Prestige ADSL routers, with integral firewall, with separate Zywall firewall, or, our own in house config, Zyxel Prestige routesrs with Sonicwall "Total Secure" dual-wan firewall. Plugged it in - it worked - no prob. #

Do you mean that SIP ALG is switched ON in thoswe routers by default, so you just need to plug it in and thats it?

So far as I know, it's either on in the Zyxel, or works without it. I'll investigate. It is certainly OFF in the Sonicwall (though present if needed).

These exact models have proven to work well:

    NetComm NB6Plus4W
    Billion 7300G

VoIP is very fussy when it comes to routers.
The above units have QoS & good port forwarding features & provide consistent voice quality.

So do they support SIP ALG (are they SIP aware) or those are just good, quality and featureful routers, but without SIP ALG support?

Linksys wag325n version 1, running 1.08 firmware is sip friendly. 1.11 and 1.1 firmware break sip udp but pass sip tcp packets.

If you plug the PSTN Line connector of the CIT400 into the FXS of the Quadro you will be able to make and take calls via the Quadro.

That's a "no" then, is it, Kev? Don't tease 'em! :-)

By and large, Skype is entirely proprietary standard not related in any way to any other VOIP protocols. Don't expect any "made for Skype" device to work with Epygi unless it explicitly states it will also work with SIP/RTP systems.
