As I far as I know, it shouldhappen in the middle of August. The SW is actually ready since mid of July, itis in beta testing now ondistributors' sites.

    Hello,

I´m not in Epygi´s payroll, so maybe I´m saying something stupid, but I think it is a new firmware version with more IP extensions available. This way Quadro2x will have 4 IP extensions, for example. Quadro 4x and 16x will also benefit, but I don´t know how much.

But don´t worry. Hopefully soon someone from Epygi will come here and explain us what the capacity changes really are.

Yep, here is the "someone" from Epygi

Guillermo's descriptionis right - we are increasing the IP Line capacity of Quadros. The exact numbers:

Quadro2x will have 4 IP Lines active by default, and 12 more if additionallfeature key is purchased. So with a key installed it has 16 IP Lines overall.

Quadro4x will have30 IP Lines active by default, and up to 32 more if additionall featurekeysare purchased. So withkeys installed it has62 IP Lines overall.

Quadro16x will have18 IP Lines active by default, and up to 32 more if additionall featurekeysare purchased. So withkeys installed it has50 IP Lines overall.

The number of FXS lines is not changed with new SW, of course

    Hi davrays,

Not correcting your arithmetic, as it is probably a typo, but still
needs to be pointed out to avoid confusion - I think you meant "...
with keys installed it has 50 IP Lines overall."

    You are completely right, Peter

18 + 32 usually makes 50, indeed This case is not an exclusion

Do any you feel the new expansion offers more opportunity for Quadro in your region?

    (I'm with Epygi too...)

It certainly makes it more competitive against the likes of Linksys
SPA9000, even though it is a bit unfair to compare them head-to-head in
terms of price, as the SPA lacks some of the advanced features Quadro
provides. However, to the uninformed customers, they are all VoIP phone
systems! And at the end of the day, what you pay is what you get.
