Thread: P-Asserted-Identity not passed through 2xi

Default P-Asserted-Identity not passed through 2xi

After a lot of fiddling with a few settings, including "Add Remote Party ID" which is enabled, the Epygi SIP stack for some reason does not pass the P-Asserted-Identity to the IP phones.

Any ideas on what we can change for PAI to be passed along?

    Thanks in advance.

This is purely a guess, however - look in the telephones to see if they are honouring it in the first place, check that the provider is actually sending the CLI - look under sipua for the call. Epygi passes CLI - it is usually external devices / services not passing the CLI in the first place.

Default P-Asserted-Identity not passed through 2xi

Let me clarify this is not a case of the Epygi not passing CallerID Number. It does. No issue with that.

What it does not pass is P-Asserted-Identity to the IP Phone, even when it receives it from the ITSP:

    CSeq: 941 INVITE
    Contact: <sip:195.xxx.16.xxx:5060>
    P-Asserted-Identity: "- Company Name"<sip:+30210xxxx765@fmc.itsp.com;user=phone>
    Privacy: none

It omits P-Asserted-Identity which can be used as CallerID Name, and instead passes this to the IP Phone:

    CSeq: 2 INVITE
    Call-ID: 12_668514224@192.168.9.110
    Contact: <sip:x210xxxx765@192.168.xxx.254:5080>
Server: Epygi Quadro SIP User Agent/v5.3.26 (QUADRO-2X)

The trace in the original post is from System Logs - SIP User Agent, and portions of it are displayed above.

The phone [Yealink T29G] is set to accept CallerID from PAI-RPID-FROM. But P-Asserted-Identity is not passed to it.

Can someone let me know if there is a setting which allows P-Asserted-Identity, to be passed through the Epygi to the IP phone?

Thanks a lot for your help.
