    Default child extension not connected


    when child extension is not connected
    the mother extension doesn't answer calls
    and VMS starts
    solution: remove child feature

    Yes you are right if one of the children is not registered system connects the call to the VM of parent extension.
    As workaround i can suggest you to disable "Parent-Child" option and use one of "Caller ID Based Services", you can use "Many Extension Ringing" or "Unconditional Call Forwarding" or "Find Me / Follow Me" service depending on your setup.
