issue with picking up parked calls (gets disconected)

We are having the below issue and I'm not sure where to look (epygi or snom).

epygi M32x firmware: 5.3.61

handsets are snoms
handset A firmware: 7.3.27 (has been in the field for a very long time without any config updates)
handset B firmware: 8.4.35 (has recently be migrated from a snom 300 to a snom 320)

Call is placed on hold on handset A:
- call can be successfully picked up from A
- however the call cannot be pickup from B, call simply gets disconnected as soon as it gets pickup by dialing the park etx.

Where should I look?

Further on this issue. I've managed to 'fix' most of the affected snom phones by making the sip username (Line Settings->Line -> Username). I'm not sure why this made it worked when others have no issues.

However one particular extention / handset refused to be fixed this way. Below is a UDP SIP trace from a pcap capture using the Snom pcap file.

ext 140 is where the call is paarked on.
ext 1272 is the handset that is unable to pickup any parked call.

Can anyone shed some light on to what is going on here? or why making the username longer apears to have 'fixed' the issue?

It appears I have managed to fix the (call drop on pickup) problem



The details:

Looking deeper into further into the wireshark trace I can see that there was some problem with codec negotiation. It tried 2 codecs then stopped! (and dropped the call).



Reading this thread https://forum.snom.com/index.php?showtopic=10821 and another thread (which I can't seem to locate anymore). It mentioned that in newer version of the Snom firmware the list of default codec http://wiki.snom.com/wiki/index.php/..._priority_list is quite long which can cause packet fragmentation / broken packet issues (something along those lines).



The default list was: g722,pcmu,pcma,gsm,g726-32,aal2-g726-32,g723,g729,telephone-event

I shortened to: pcma,pcmu,g722,g729,telephone-event



I also made sure the allowed codec on Epygi are those listed. Combination of this seemed to have fixed the issue. I'm currently monitoring this before I declare it solved.
