Emergency Recovery Firmware for Quadro 2x

Hi,

I have INFO and FAULT lights alternating flashing after power failure and the unit won't boot.

I tried unplugging for a while and reset bottom as suggested in prior posts, but no luck.
It looks like I need an Emergency Firmware Recovery procedure.

I don't have original CD anymore.

Where can I get MICRO-SW.bin firmware for Emergency Recovery?
Can I just rename recent firmware to MICRO-SW.bin?

Yep, you can. It should work. Actually MICRO-SW.bin is just a regular firmware image containing one of the older firmware version.

I tried the latest software but it did not work.
I set my SolarWinds TFTP server to 172.30.0.100 binding.
I saw Epygi LAN light flashing and TFTP reported successful upload of MICRO-SW.bin.
However, Epygi still makes alternating flashing of INFO and FAULT lights after upload and what it seems like auto-reboot.

Any suggestions?

Well, I am not perfectly sure, but it might be your unit is incompatible with the latest firmware. Some units cannot be upgraded to versions higher than 5.1.x. Yours might be one of those.

Try to download the 5.1.39 from the web and recover using that version.

If it doesn't work... then something should be wrong with the unit hardware.

Tried v.5.1.39. Did not work.

One suspension is that upload takes only under 10 sec.
Unit never starts blinking in parallel.

What TFPT server do you suggest?

Any other suggestions?

We are using Tftpd32 (v2.0) freeware server by Philippe Jounin. It is good enough.

10 seconds should be sufficient to download the image on a port-to-port connection..
Does your unit reboot soon after downloading the firmware? You should see the red LED ON for few seconds if it does.

BTW, did you try to make Factory Reset before doing emergency recovery? It might help too.

I tried Jounin TFTP server and all Factory Reset permutations.
Unfortunately no luck
It looks like it's going in for a service.

Meanwhile I can borrow a Quadro 4x.
Does 2x configuration backup compatible with 4x?

Thats strange. Probably some HW issue..

2x configuration is not compatible with 4x one, so you cannot upload saved config to 4x. Better to try to borrow a 2x..
