Thread: Quadro 6L question

  1. #1

    Default Quadro 6L question

I bought a quadro 6l and the recommended aastra 6757i phones, 5 of them, for our restaurant, running in Key system emulation mode. So far everything seems to be running very well its been about a year and a half so far.

    My question is,

I noticed that epygi discontinued the 6l, so if my 6L breaks, is there a similar epygi product that i could buy to replace the 6l in the KSE mode that will work with the asstra phones?

id like to purchase something soon just as a backup, keep it in the box as a just in case

    Thanks in advance
    Dimitrios

    Hi Dimitrios,

The similar Epygi products are Quadro4L and Quadro4Li. Both of them are supporting KSE mode as well as Aastra 6757i phones.
Quadro4L provides two analogue phones and four FXO lines,
    Quadro4Li provides 4 ISDN lines.
So it seems Quadro4L is more acceptable for backup in your case

    Thanks

Ashot, thank you very much for your reply.

I remember reading a while back that that 4l did have KSE mode, however at that time it wasn't implemented, or wasn't ready. Before i purchase my spare i just wanted to confirm that even tho it states that it is kse capable that kse mode is tested and working.

    Thank you

    Hi Dimitrios,

Quadro4L is capable of KSE feature. The problems are concerning only the SW version running on the product. In the very first SW version 5.3.2 for 4L the KSE was broken because of a software bug. This bug was fixed in the next SW versions. Specifically the version 5.3.14 available at the moment is free of this bug

    Thanks
    Ashot
