Thread: Unconditional Call Forward

    Default Unconditional Call Forward

    Hi

    I have a site where the unconditional call forward when activated via the *4 feature code gets activated OK but when you call the number it doesn't get forwarded to the assigned number in the Supplimentary Services/Caller ID Based Services. Its still going to the phones in the office. Checked the Unconditional call forward settings and the number is there and toggle from handset is ticked.

    In call routing is 9021763037 an emtry that does not have the filter rule applied if not make an entry and allow the rule.

    All,

    Routing Rules with PBX filter will work when used in a Forwarding set on the extension. It works starting from 5.1 FW version, so this couldn't be the reason for this issue

    In your snapshot above isn't shown what specific address the forwarding is configured for. So my question is - when you calling the extension number and it doesn't get forwarded to the assigned number, are you sure you are calling from the specified address?

    I didnt see this in the notes for the firmware, can you elaborate please.

    Hi Kevin,

    I am surprised that there are Quadro features that you are not aware of.
    Please take a look to the RNs Quadro2x/4x/16x 5.2.12 under new features for the 5.1.17 release. This feature shortly described there as follows: "Easier for extensions to forward their calls to external numbers without compromising the security of Call Routing entries that have the PBX filtering option enabled."
    Actually this feature allows the Routing Rules with PBX filter to work when used in a Forwarding set on the extension. No additional configuration needed.

    It wasnt the feature that I wasnt aware of, it was the changes made so you didnt have to remove the filtering for the forwarding to work.

    In the past I would use a pincode for the route and have that as an entry within the system to allow dialling out of the system without the filtering applied.

    I actually looked through the file and either skimmed over the entry that you posted or wasnt looking in the right place.
