    Question Missed calls on Snom 300

    I have an interesting problem on a Snom 300 phone.
    When I dial the extension the Snom 300 is connected to (2014) from another extension (2011) and 2014 answer. When i'm finished with the call, ext 2014 will show a missed call from me (2011). This happens all the time. I tried swopping phones, upgrading the firmware etc.

    Any idea where I can look to fix this problem??

    Hey there Did you auto deploy the handset and do you have any extensions using presence / blf ?

    Regards

    hi Kevin

    I set everything up manually. I disabled the auto deploy, because they are running a mixture of Snom, Grandstream and Linksys phones.

    I still want to kick the sales guy for not selling new phones.

    There is no BLF modules on any phones, but there is 2x Snom 370 phones.
    I setup the buttons on them as extensions, and not presence.

    Regards

    Heinrich

    BTW. It is on a 4Li unit

    Ext 2011 is a Snom 370 yes. But it doesnt matter which ext I use to dial to ext 2014. It always shows a missed call. Its also not just on internal calls, but on transfered calls aswell.

    Hey Heinrich,
    Do you want to totally remove the missed calls feature?
    Cheers

    Hi Mike.

    I don't want to remove the feature completely.
    Just want it to report actual missed calls rather than missed calls on all calls.

    Still haven't managed to fix this problem. Short of swapping out the epygi for a new system, i'm at a loss.

    Hey there Heinrich,

    The missed calls you speak of, are they just calls to a handset for that handset or are you talking MERg calls as well ?

    If the answer is MERg calls then a feature request might be needed so that the MERg calls do not get reported on the telephone.

    Maybe the lads at Epygi can change the sip header of an MERg call so that it is not reported. I think from memory using specific handsets has the capability.

    On certain systems I believe this has been resolved, but I have not tried it on the Quadro.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    On 2x firmware version 5.2.12 the following happens with missed calls turned on for a SNOM handset:
    1./ AASTRA to SNOM call direct - missed call shows up on SNOM handset
    2./ AASTRA to MERg call direct - missed call shows up on SNOM handset
    3./ PSTN to MERg call direct - missed call shows up on SNOM handset
    4./ VoIP to MERg call direct - missed call shows up on SNOM handset
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~

    If it were possible for Epygi to program another level of missed calls for systems that do not want to show the MERg missed calls but to show the direct calls to the handset would be great.

    If it were possible to allow it on an extension by extension basis even better.

    I hope this information is what you were expecting either way.

    Regards

    Kevin

    Hi Kevin.

    Thanx for all the info. I'll check again, but to my knowledge there is no merg programmed at the client. There is however hunting setup so that incoming calls hops from one phone to another, and that specific Snom 300 is in that group. But it is also the only phone that shows missed calls all the time.
    Like I also said. Even when just phoning it directly from another phone (Snom or other) it shows the missed call.

    I do know that there is some issues with the 4Li models, and there should be a new firmware coming out for it soon, but meantime the client is getting a bit peeved off with me. Will still try some setting here and there and see if I can't get it resolved somehow.

    Regards
    Heinrich
