Thread: multiple sip accounts for certain extensions??

    Default multiple sip accounts for certain extensions??

    Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

    Scenario.
    1 Company split into 4 divisions, A, B, C and D
    All divisions using same network and a single quadro 16xi
    Quadro has 4 SIP carrier accounts registered, SIP1, SIP2, SIP3, and SIP4
    Each division uses between 2 & 10 snom 300 phones.
    Each division needs to make and receive external calls through one SIP account each.
    So Division A will make and receive calls exclusively on SIP account 1.
    Division B will make and receive calls exclusively on SIP account 2,
    Division C will make and receive calls exclusively on SIP account 3
    Division D will make and receive calls exclusively on SIP account 4

    This is all airly straight forward until I explain that I need each division to dial the same access code (zero) to route outbound calls. Is there any way of determining the calls outbound route dependingon which extension is used? and not by using different access codes. Maybe some form of call blocking for the extensions on the lines thay are not allowed to use?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Regards,

    Yes - easily achieved ..

    4 x routes

    Pattern 1 - 0* - nds 1, type sip/isdn/fxo - route1 - filter on and when you get to the page that says how you want to filter you type {10-18}

    Pattern 2 - 0* - nds 1, type sip/isdn/fxo - route2 - filter on and when you get to the page that says how you want to filter you type {19-28}

    Pattern 3 - 0* - nds 1, type sip/isdn/fxo - route3 - filter on and when you get to the page that says how you want to filter you type {29-38}

    Pattern 4 - 0* - nds 1, type sip/isdn/fxo - route4 - filter on and when you get to the page that says how you want to filter you type {39-58}

    That is for out bound .. the filter does the routing as needed and seperates the extensions from which route they can dial.

    In the case of gaps in extension numbering ie 10, 12 to 14, 17, 24-29 etc you would use {10,12-14,17,24-29} etc ....

    Kevin,

    Yet again you hit the top spot on my list of legends. That answer worked perfectly exactly as you described. However I do have a quick follow up question.

    Is there any way of monitoring the 4 sip accounts to see what one is being used? I have checked the call statistics, but it does not show which SIP account is being used.

    Many thanks,

    Lee.
