Quadro ISDN how to

Hi,

Need some help.
I just one to get sure when configuring Quadro ISDN, therefore some brief questions. The Quadro is connected per WAN to IP-PSTN.

1. On backside of the Quadro NT/TE switch. When connecting a phone it should be TE? When connecting to a PBX or ISDN network it should be NT?

2. ISDN wizard... When connecting a single ISDN phone mode should be USER or NETWORK? When connecting a PBX it should be NETWORK as by E1/T1 gateways?

3. When connecting a ISDN phone should it be Point to Point or Point to Multipoint? And the same for PBX?

4. For both examples (ISDN phone or ISDN PBX) only two routing rules are needed. One for incoming and one for outgoing calls?

- In general when connecting a ISDN phone(or ISDN PBX configured in User Mode ), Quadro should be configured in NT mode.
- In general when connecting a ISDN Network(or to ISDN PBX configured in Network) Mode , Quadro should be configured in TE mode. In case of connecting more ISDN devices to the same ISDN Network there might be cases when DIP Switch positions on Quadro is NT.

2. ISDN wizard... When connecting a single ISDN phone mode should be USER or NETWORK? When connecting a PBX it should be NETWORK as by E1/T1 gateways?

- when connecting a ISDN phone, Quadro should be configured in Network mode
- when connecting a ISDN Network, Quadro should be configured in User
mode.
Some ISDN PBX have the both User/Network modes(like Quadro)
If ISDN PBX configured in User mode, Quadro should be configured in Network mode
If ISDN PBX configured in Network mode, Quadro should be configured in User mode

3. When connecting a ISDN phone should it be Point to Point or Point to Multipoint? And the same for PBX?

In case of ISDN phone it is recommended to configure Quadro in Point to Multipoint mode.
In case of PBX connection most of the cases Quadro may be configured in Point to Multipoint mode.

4. For both examples (ISDN phone or ISDN PBX) only two routing rules are needed. One for incoming and one for outgoing calls?
- two call routing rule is enough although you may have more call routing rules depending your call data flow.
