Thread: Total operating power requirement

    Default Total operating power requirement

    Hi there,

I am trying to calculate the total power requirements or an Epygi Quadro but i understand that the claimed 3 watts may not reflect the true power requirement.

    ie

A 16x will draw more power due to powering the fxs ports with ring etc.. where as a 2x will have less power requirements.

    I need the true ratings.

    Regards

    Kev

Kevin, did you see this thread: http://support.epygi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=982?

It is somehow close to the topic you are talking about.

    Best regards,
    David

Thank you David, I should have used the search feature a little more rigorously..

Out of interest could you update this for all of the units and sticky that in the forum or make a whitepaper for it.

    http://www.apc.com/tools/ups_selector/index.cfm

The above is what I used to gauge what sort of UPS would be needed for around 250watts - 500watts at 30 - 60 minutes up time.

    Regards

    Kevin

You're right, Kevin - this info should be updated and placed into some easily visible place.

Here attached is a detailed updated doc on this.

In the KnowledgeBase area I also published an article containing brief information on power consumption of Quadro units:
