Thread: Dialing Rule

    Default Dialing Rule

    Hi all

    How would i go about setting a rule so that only my ip phones (ext 27-37) are able to dial cellphone numbers (082,083,084 numbers)
    the analog extensions are ext10-20 and they must not be able to dial any 082,3,4 numbers

    they dial 9 to dial out via ISDN

    If you necessarily want to have 9 as a prefix to your PSTN calls then, you need to add rules like the following:

    pattern=9{???,!082,!083,!084}*, NDS=1, <the necessary parameters to call to PSTN>, inbount filter=PBX, {10-20}

    pattern=9*, NDS=1, <the necessary parameters to call to PSTN>, inbount filter=PBX, {27-37}

    Your extensions 10-20 will call to anywhere except numbers prefixes with 082,083,084, while IP phones can call anywhere.
    Don't forget to remove the defailt PSTN rule from the routing table.

    Another alternative:

    leave the default PSTN rule as it is, and just add the following rule:

    pattern=9{082,083,084}*, NDS=99, prefix=55555, failreason=None, <the necessary parameters to call to PSTN>, inbount filter=PBX, {10-20}

    The "55555" above is the number of autoattendant, which you can create - it will just tell "You are not authorized to call to this destination, press 0 to connect to big boss with any concern you want to share related to this limitation"....
    This rule is more specific than the default PSTN outgoing rule, thus it will match first, regardless of any metric/or position in the table.
    Your extensions 10-20 will match that rule, when calling to mobile, and will be rerouted to AA "55555", which will explain them their rights and obligations in te way you like...

    Best regards,
    David

    P.S. Please ask if something is unclear on this, I am ready to explain what is written above
