Thread: Change Ring Pattern or Incoming Caller ID to SPA922

Cool Change Ring Pattern or Incoming Caller ID to SPA922

We have a client who has an Epygi 2x, they are using SPA922s.

My key question is solely riding on extension 110's reaction in both scenarios

We have two inbound DID's coming in, via IP authentication, to the phone system.

    Number 1 Ring in pattern:

    - rings to hunt 50
    - hunt 50 rings ext 110 (receptionist for 15 sec, spa922)
    - Hunt 50 rings AA00

    Number 2 Ring in pattern:

    - rings to hunt 60
    - hunt 60 rings to ext 120 for 15 sec
    - hunt 60 rings to ext 100 (receptionist for 15 sec, spa922)
    - Hunt 50 rings AA10

We want Ring patter one to display a name and/or specific ring on ext 110
We want Ring pattern two to display a different name and/or different ring on ext 110

This is so ext 110 can answer the phone appropriately, and know who is calling for before they pick up.

We are currently performing IP Authentication (not registration with our VoIP provider) so they send both number 1 & 2 to the Epygi and we route to hunts from our call routing table.

How can I identify the calls in my current scenario to the ext 110?
Is there a better way to handle this? If so how, as long as I don't have to change my VoIP Provider!

    thank you!

    Two notes:
    1. I don't see how you use the extension 110 in the "number 2 Ring pattern" above... Probably there is a typo..?

    2. In any case you can have different patterns as you wish, if you enable the "Distinctive Ringing" service on extension 50 and 60, and set different values for pattern and nickname

Interesting... now SPAs I cant remember if there is a way of introducing a name and number on the screen... but if you go to the supplemental services of the virtual extension that rings and change the DISTINCTIVE RINGING to what you want it named as.

Do that for both groups and watch how easy it is for the receptionist to put the right hat on.
