Hmm... based on my experience with such "clients", typically they just don't know how to work with telephone (IP Phone, particularly)...
Not sure it is possible to tell more without the details.

    Best regards,

The calls are from a call que.

Call que 451 polls ~8 extensions.

I dunno. My other systems Ive never heard of calls dropping when on hold...

Ok. So those are NOT the calls put on hold, but the calls which have reached the Call Queue because all 8 extensions were busy at the moment..?
And how do they know that the calls are really dropped, but not just the callers disconnected themselves because they are tired of listening the "please wait" message?

The biggest problem in such cases is to get the correct information from customer. Solving the problem could be easy as soon as you understand what do they complain about...

Probably something to do with the fact we are using an E1 gateway combined with a 4x PBX. Not to mention the PBX is freaking out. I get over utilisation errors, and I'm completley out of monitored extensions (limit 100???!!).

Anyho, an M32x might fix the problem.

The limit for BLF notifications ( Monitoring , Presence ) what ever you wish to call it is set at the 80 mark ... to go over that = erratic behaviour.

So when you have that many notifications on the network you will have lights working and not working for various monitored items.

Reduce it to the golden number (80) or less and you will not have a problem.

    I will have a problem.. I will only have <80 BLF's!

    Apparently the M32x supports 2000?

2000 notifications on any 10/100meg network I believe will kill the network.

Yep, 2000 notifications is an overkill... However the M32x itself will handle up to 1600-2000 BLFs. Of course, it is safer to keep that number up to 800-1000, not to stress other components of the installation.

    Best regards,
    David
