Default Log into other users voicemail

    Hi Guys

It would be really cool to be able to access other users Voicemail.

This way I would be able to allow users change their own After Hours Greetings by logging into the After Hours virtual extension mailbox.

As current, the I.T department must be contacted to change messages.

Perhaps there is an entirely diffrent approach I should be taking to After hours/Public holiday messages?

    Thanks
    Michael.

Michael venture down the path of the Call Routing Tables being able to answer the calls on a calendar period(s)

Point them to a virtual box that plays the appropriate greeting.

It can be done simply and it can be driven by date / envoked by what epygi call KEY ENABLER / DISABLERS...

    Regards

Kev, I have all that setup. Holiday, Public holiday.. After hours.

I have also considered using enabler keys. (*77xx# can be programmed into a speed dial key on my snom).

I would really like to know if another voicemail can be logged onto.
I am actually stumped as to why one can not log onto anothers voicemail..

You can dial into the Auto Attendant and log in to the Voicemail as the user if you want, you just need to enable the access.

Yep, there is absolutely no such restriction - you can easily access other extension's voicemail, if you know the password. Call to AA, then dial "*0" and follow the prompts

We are working now on "Shared Mailbox" feature, which could make this even easier, but right now on current software you can do what you need.

    Best regards,
    David

    I tried that once before.

It worked from outside but not internally.

If I call '00', and then enter '*0', I get 'Invalid Extension'
Same goes if I call 00 and dial a local ext.

Itried adding my phone to auth phone DB..

Wait! I found it! All this time, 00 was getting redirceted to my gateway!
