SMS Integration

I have a customer that is wanting to send and receive SMS messages from their business phone number. VOIP.MS was just announced as an ITSP that is partnering with Epygi. They have an SMS feature on their SIP lines.

Q - has anyone done an integration with an ITSP that allows the end user to send SMS from an endpoint? IF so, which ITSP? ANyone worked with Voip.ms text feature?

Currently you cannot send SMS from an endpoint (IP phone or softphone) to SMS provider. Sending SMS is available only for management purposes, for example, for notifying the user about some events like the device has been rebooted or voice mail has been received in the extension's mailbox.
