SIP Settings page -> Enable Session Timer

Is there any benefit in enabling this field?

It is a redundant method of checking the availability of the remote end during the call via SIP signaling. It makes sense to use that in applications requiring high level of availability.

Then I think this should be enabled by default, since (I'm sure) all

I donĀ“t recomend to enable it by default. Once I enabled it and had a problem with a Snom360 (the call dropped at 45 seconds). So better be carefull. smileys/smiley2.gif

Indeed, guillermobmi. After enabling it I had call drops after about 1min.smileys/smiley5.gif

The trouble is the call drop didn't happen on every call, so I only realised a week later that this was the culprit!
