Hi,
I've noticed every so often on the homepage of the Quadro16xi browser gui that there appears a PSTN to PSTN call in the current call field. Once I noticed it was up for over 3 hours. I thought this might be an anomoly so terminated the call.

Is there any known reason for this?

Could this be an attempted hi-jack of the phone system by some malicious person using the Quadro to relay calls?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,
A PSTN to PSTN that has been up for a long time is not good and it should be looked into further. This a call from one FXO port to another. It may have bee connected by a user doing a call transfer, Call Relay, or even by using the Dial "0" option from Voice Mail. Regardless, the call should have dropped from the PSTN.
I would do the following:
1. Read the document in Support/System Configuration: Preventing Unauthorized Calls in the Quadro.
2. Make a test call on the FXO port and then release the call from the PSTN side. The call should drop. If it does not, then you may need to adjust the FXO settings to match your PSTNs disconnect method.
