View Full Version : Dial timeout on a Polycom VVX phone

I have what I think is an improper behavior. On a Polycom VVX Phone, I press the first line, I dial the digits, and they match one of my dial patters in Routes. However, the call doesn't start until you hit the send button. It seems, since it was taken off of hook, and digits were dialed, that after a timeout found in dial timers, it should proceed to dial the call. It doesn't. Can anyone confirm if that is a correct expected haviour? Any suggestions on how to work around this?

Yes it’s expected behavior. That after dial timeout the call should be established without pressing # or Send softkey.
How did you configure Polycom VVX phones with Epygi device? Are they auto configured or manually configured with us?
Do you use any custom IP Phone Template on the line attached to the Polycom? If yes, please check if you are using the default Digitmap (xx.T|xx.#|*[0-6]|*[7-9]x).
Please also check the Routing Dial Timeout (by default 4 seconds) from Telephony->Advanced->Dial Timeout page.
