Hi All,

I have a script which has been working to a certain extent at a Customers office.

Orginal requirement was Mon-Fri 8am~4pm, Sat & Sun 8am~1pm

The script has been working Mon-Fri OK, but only Sat 8am~4pm with no Sunday.

I don't have enough knowledge in XML scripts to alter what I have, and certainly dont want to mess up whats there. Can anyone help in altering my DATETIME part of the script below to reflect the required times?

<form id="datetimeform">

<object name="field1" classid="datetime">
<filled>

<!-- START TIME -->
<if cond="datetime_hour &amp;gt; '7'">

<!-- END TIME -->
<if cond="datetime_hour &amp;lt; '17'">

<!-- DAYS OF THE WEEK -->
<if cond="datetime_wday &amp;gt; '1'">
<if cond="datetime_wday &amp;lt; '8'">

<goto next="#menu_business_hours"/>

Please find below the script built according to your original requirements (Mon-Fri 8am~4pm, Sat &amp; Sun 8am~1pm).

<var name="weekend"/>
<form id="datetimeform">
<object name="field1" classid="datetime">
<filled>
<!-- DAYS OF THE WEEK -->
<assign name="weekend" expr="'1'"/>
<if cond="datetime_wday &amp;gt; '1'">
<if cond="datetime_wday &amp;lt; '7'">
<assign name="weekend" expr="'0'"/>
</if>
</if>

<!-- START TIME (hour > 7) -->
<if cond="datetime_hour &amp;gt; '7'">
<if cond="weekend=='1'">
<!-- END TIME (WEEKEND) -->
<if cond="datetime_hour &amp;lt; '13'">
<goto next="#menu_business_hours"/>
</if>
<else/>
<!-- END TIME (WORKING DAYS) -->
<if cond="datetime_hour &amp;lt; '16'">
<goto next="#menu_business_hours"/>
</if>
</if>
</if>

<!-- NONE BUSINESS HOURS -->
<prompt> <audio src="timeover.wav" /> </prompt>
<exit/>
</filled>
</object>
</form>

Thank you very much Arsen.

It works like a charm smileys/smiley1.gif

Just a couple of questions for future reference,

can you put in half hour increments in this script?
And what if you wanted to select certain days of the week instead of Mon-Fri, let say you wanted Mon, Wed, Fri only. Is this possible or will it all get messy?
Is there any publications either soft/hard e.g XML for dummies ... which would give one a good understanding of XML script editing smileys/smiley5.gifwithout assuming prior knowledge of script writing?[/list]

Please find below the answers to your questions.

can you put in half hour increments in this script

Yes, you can.

The following date and time variables can be referenced to match the exact criteria you need.

"datetime_sec"

"datetime_min"

"datetime_hour"

"datetime_mday"

"datetime_month"

"datetime_year"

"datetime_wday"

"datetime_yday"

And what if you wanted to select certain days of the week instead
of Mon-Fri, let say you wanted Mon, Wed, Fri only. Is this possible or
will it all get messy?

Yes, it's possible. See the example below

<if cond="datetime_wday &amp;eq; '2'">

<if cond="datetime_wday &amp;eq; '4'">

<if cond="datetime_wday &amp;eq; '6'">

Find docs related to vxml scripting on Quadro in download area from www.epygi.com -> support login.

The following links www.voicexml.org and http://voicexmlforum.org/ might be useful to get started with vxml.
