Does anyone know where in the Quadro programming you enable or disable ICMP? I am working with a SIP provider (Broadvox) and they say that they cannot ping the IP address of the Quadro server. they need to perform some call tracing to resolve some voice quality issues. I also tried to ping it but could not.

I do have remote access to the system.

FYI: The Quadro server does not have any firewall or any other router other than the TW ISP modem/router in front of it.

I have looked around but cannot figure out where to enable ICMP.

Thx

Under internet uplink --> firewall / nat ---> advanced firewall configuration

You can turn on or off some commands that might be what they are talking about ..

The Advanced Firewall Settings are used to deny Ping and Portscanning operations addressed toward the device. With these features enabled Quadro will answer with irritating message to the Ping and Portscanning operations.

Unchecking Ping will result in ICMP for Broadvox to work again.

Leaving this off means that any one will see that the quadro is there and listening and there fore can be targetted with a miriage of IP Requests.

This could then degrade the voice service, adding Broadvox's IP address for SIP etc and removing ANY will lock it down.
