Hi There,

I know it is possible to connect and ISDN GW & E1 GW to a legacy ISDN PBX, but is it possible to connect a FXO GW into a legacy Analogue PBX?

regards,

Shaun

It should be possible but you would need analogue extensions available on the Legacy system.

using the Gateway... you would split the 6 PSTN channels to be 3 for the PSTN and 3 to the telephone system which would be connected via the Analogue extensions...

You would have to create routing rules to reflect the one to one mapping so to speak, and depending on the legacy telephone system you would need to mask the digits or create a group with the 3 x analougue extensions in it so your internal telephone extensions can dial out on the PSTN connections..The other consideration is that in the creation of the rule you would need to get the quadro to ondial through to the other telephone systems group / extension responsible to answer the call.

It is very messy and can be complicated might even be cheaper to just get the customer to bite the bullet and swap out the telephone system and put Softphones (QCM) and Hardphones in place.

Just a thought and only my ramblings from this ozzies perspective :D

Regards

Kevin
